Levels

Your server level is separate from Minecraft experience. Almost everything you do here earns Level XP, and every level you reach has something waiting for you. Open /profile and pick Levels to claim it.

Levels run from 1 to 60. Once you reach 60 you can prestige: start the climb again under a new moon, keeping everything you have earned. There are ten moons.

Earning Level XP

HowLevel XP

Daily errands from the Quest Master10 each
Finishing the Quest Master's First steps10, once
Handing a quest in to a quest giver+3 (not the building, digging or woodcutting chains)
The daily reward10
The weekly reward50
Achievements5 to 100 each
Finding something new for the Codex3 for a region of Aldoria, 1 for each area and every other entry

Fishing contests10 for taking part, +30, +20 or +10 for the podium
Build contests25 for entering, +75 for the win
Friends you vouched for who stayThe referral achievements

Really playing means you have done something since the last check: turned to look around, used or clicked something, broken or placed a block, chatted, or run a command. Standing in a water current does not count, and neither does the AFK pond, which pays in money and Coins instead.

Level XP ≠ vanilla experience orbs.

The Level XP booster

The 1-hour "2x Level XP" voucher doubles the XP you earn from playing, daily errands and quests. It never doubles achievements, rewards, contests or anything else, and it adds at most 150 bonus XP a week, so a level is always something you earned. See Boosters.

Prestige: the ten moons

Reach level 60, claim every level reward on the way, and type /prestige. A screen shows exactly what changes and what stays before you confirm.

What resets: only your level number. You go back to level 1 and climb again.

What stays: everything else. Homes, claims, claim chunks, auction slots, warps, recipes, traits, Coins, money, items, skills, jobs, achievements, your guild and your vouch slots. The perks you unlocked on the way up stay too: /nick, /back, /enderchest, /feed, /workbench and /disposal. XP you earn past level 60 is not wasted either: it carries into the next climb.

Later climbs are shorter. The first climb to 60 takes 20,000 XP. After your first prestige every level costs the same, 70 XP, so the climb is 4,130. Each moon after that adds 10 XP a level, up to 9,440 for the last climb.

Every moon also gives 25 Moon Shards, its own tag and its moon beside your name. Over all ten that is +5 homes, +20 claims, +3 auction slots and +2 player warps. A claim is one more separate area you can protect, like a farm away from your base; your claim chunks stay one shared pool you spread across all of them. No rank sells the crafting stations.

Every later climb pays as you go

On every climb after your first prestige you get:

  • a Moon Shard for every level from 2 to 60;
  • +5 Moon Shards and $15,000 at levels 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50;
  • +15 Moon Shards and $20,000 at level 60.

That is about 99 Moon Shards and $95,000 a climb. Climbs never pay Coins or crate keys.

Moon Shards

Moon Shards cannot be traded or sent. Spend them in the Moon Shard shop from the prestige menu (/prestige): a moonlight firework show (20) and ten extra moon tags (30 each), a new one opening at each moon. Moon hats and moon glow colours are on the way. Anyone can browse the shop, so you can see what is waiting before you get there. Everything in it can be bought once.

The moment, and the Hall of the Moon

Reaching a new moon gets you a title, a chime, fireworks in your moon's colour and a cheer from the whole server, a post in Discord and a line in the Chronicle. The first player to reach each moon makes the Chronicle's front page and gets their name in the Hall of the Moon for good.

Completing the moon: after your tenth prestige, climb to level 60 once more under the Aurelune moon. That completes the moon and puts your name on the Golden Wall. Your Level XP keeps counting after that.

Where it shows

  • Your moon sits in front of your level badge in chat, in TAB and over your head.
  • TAB and the Prestige board rank the moon first, then your level, then all the Level XP it took, so a prestiged player never sorts below a newcomer.
  • Your profile on the website shows your moon, "Prestige 5 of 10", all ten moons and the day you reached each one.
  • Vouching counts you as level 60 once you have prestiged.
