Stat boosts & traits
Each playstyle spends a unique 100-point package across the 10 Stats. Bonuses only apply while you're in that playstyle; they reshuffle if you switch.
You also get that playstyle's 3 bronze traits (purple icon) for the duration. You can still unlock those traits permanently other ways. See Traits.
One playstyle at a time. Command: /playstyles. There's a Playstyles NPC at spawn if you want the guided version.
You can leave a style and pick another straight away, but the new one is then yours for 7 days before you can leave it. Your first switch, within 24 hours of your first pick, skips that wait. The free switch counts from your very first pick: leave your style in /playstyles, pick another, and you can still leave that one whenever you like. It works once, and it costs nothing.
When you pick one, you get a title in the style's colour and a card listing your traits, and everyone online sees which path you took. /quiet turns off the sounds and particles.
Your playstyle tag
Every playstyle comes with its own tag in the style's colour, like Warrior in red or Scholar in blue. It's yours the moment you pick, and you can wear it from /tags. If you leave the style, the tag goes with it. Your website profile shows your playstyle too.
Tags only change how your name looks. They never add stats or traits.
Mastery
Every playstyle has three mastery ranks, I to III. Each rank is a quest that asks for the things that style is about: a Warrior fights the toughest mobs around, and a Cleric brews healing and looks after villagers and animals. Rank I starts by itself the moment you pick the style, and each rank after it opens once you finish the one before.
Each rank you earn gives you a tag in the style's colour, like Warrior II, to wear from /tags. Reaching rank III also gives you a faint glow in the style's colour that drifts around you. Anyone with /quiet on won't see it, and it never shows in the Arcade.
Mastery is only for looks. It doesn't give stats, traits, Coins or Level XP.
Only your current style counts. Your rank's progress sits in /quests like any other quest, and it doesn't use one of your quest slots. Progress only counts in the survival worlds. If you leave the style, its mastery pauses right where it is. The ranks you've earned stay yours: their tags come off with the style and come back when you pick it again, and your progress picks up where you left it.
Each style's page in /playstyles shows your rank in that style and how close you are to the next one.
