Backpacks
A backpack is a real item. Carry it, right-click it, and your things are there, so a full inventory never means hiking home.
Getting one
- Craft it. Six leather and two string at a crafting table, in a pouch shape (a string in each top corner, leather for the rest of the ring). That gives you a tier I backpack.
- Visit Edith Thimble at Edith's Tailorshop in Moonfall Town. She stitches new backpacks and makes the one you hold bigger, one tier at a time. Bigger ones take real time to finish, and you cannot open a backpack while she works on it.
| Tier | Slots |
|---|---|
| I | 9 |
| II | 18 |
| III | 27 |
| IV | 36 |
| V | 45 |
| VI | 54 |
Using it
- Right-click it in your hand, or right-click it in your inventory, or in an open chest, barrel or ender chest on your own land, land you are a member of, or open ground.
/backpackopens the one you carry. - Backpacks open in Survival and Adventure only.
- Dye it like a bundle, or rename it at an anvil and the name becomes its title.
- Backpacks, shulker boxes and bundles do not go inside a backpack.
- It drops if you die, like any item, unless it carries a keep-on-death enchantment.
Why use one
- Quick access mid-quest, dungeon, or mining trip
- Extra room before an Auction House or Aldoria Exchange run
- Sits alongside ender chests and claim storage rather than replacing them
