Crates

Four crates at spawn, each a little rarer than the last. Each is a vault: walk up and it wakes, turn its lock with the right key, and the prize rises out of the keyhole with its name over the vault. Click a crate without its key to see what it can hold and the odds. /crates tells you where they are, and /crates preview <crate> shows a table.

The crates

CrateKeyKey cost (coinshop)
Kindred ChestKindred KeyFree: earned by vouching for friends, never sold
Wayfarer's CacheWayfarer's Key50 coins
Starfall CofferStarfall Key100 coins
Eclipse ReliquaryEclipse Key200 coins

Getting keys

Rewards and levels call the three bought keys Common, Rare and Epic: Common opens the Wayfarer's Cache, Rare the Starfall Coffer, Epic the Eclipse Reliquary.

  • Kindred keys from vouching: one for you the moment your friend first arrives, then one each for you and your friend after their first hour
  • Wayfarer's, Starfall and Eclipse keys from /coinshop, level rewards, /rewards, and occasional NPC drops

If your inventory is full, a prize waits for you and arrives as soon as you make room.

Sample rewards

Each crate holds six to eight prizes, and the better ones are rarer:
