Fan clubs
A fan club is a name and a place to belong. Creators on Aurelune can have fans, and the creator chooses what their fans are called. Joining is free, gives you nothing in play, and you can leave whenever you like. It is there for the people in it.
You can join as many clubs as you want.
Joining
Joining happens on the website, on the creator's page under Creators. You need to be signed in, and you need to be in that creator's own Discord server. When you sign in, the site checks only whether you are in that server, and forgets the rest of your server list.
When you join you choose what to show:
- Whether their mark sits next to your name in game.
- Whether you appear on the creator's fan wall. Only players signed in on the website can see the wall.
If the Discord check cannot see you yet, join the creator's server and check again. If Discord does not answer, try again in a minute.
In game
Your clubs show a small coloured mark after your name in chat, and the club's name appears when someone hovers over it. You show one club's mark at a time.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/fanclub | Lists your clubs, with a Show button on each |
/fanclub show <creator> | Shows that creator's mark by your name |
/fanclub show none | Shows no club mark |
/fanclub marks | Lists the marks |
/fanclub who <player> | Shows the club on that player's name |
/fanclub <creator> | Looks at one creator's club |
/fanclub fanword on | Wears your fan name (for example a creator's own word for their fans) as a title in /tags |
/fanclub fanword off | Takes the title off |
Switching clubs has a short cooldown, about five seconds. Joining and leaving are done on the website; the command points you there.
The fan name is a title you choose, never one you are handed. Turn it on, then pick Fan club in /tags. It goes away if you leave the club or the club closes.
Notes from your clubs
When you log in, you may see a short line about your clubs: you joined, the creator sent a welcome, the club was renamed, paused or is closing, or your place is resting. You see at most three, then a line pointing you to the website for the rest.
What a club never does
A club gives looks and recognition only. It gives no Coins, items, XP, claims or discounts. There is no leaderboard of the biggest club, and nobody is told when someone leaves. Names and welcome lines are checked by staff before anyone wears them, and staff can quiet every fan mark on the server at once.
Fan clubs are being switched on. Until they are, the marks stay hidden and /fanclub has nothing to show.
Creators
If you are a creator, run your club from your creator page on the website: set the fan name, write a welcome line and pause or close joins.
